JW Marriott Hotel Seoul on Tuesday announced the appointment of veteran German hotelier Silvio Rosenberger as its new general manager. 
 
With over 20 years of professional experience operating hotels around the world, Rosenberger is familiar with the Asian hospitality market. 
 
Since 2005, he has served as the general manager at multiple hotels including Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai, Renaissance Zhongshan Park, JW Marriott Shenzhen, Renaissance Shanghai Pudong, JW Marriott and Marriott Executive Apartments Shanghai, JW Marriott Hong Kong and The Shanghai Edition and W Shanghai – The Bund. From 2011 to 2018, he served as chairman of Marriott East China Business Council. 
 
For his work, Rosenberger has received accolades including General Manager of the Year, an award bestowed by Marriott International upon one general manager in the Asia-Pacific region; Global Outstanding Leadership Award; Global Hotel Opening of the Year; the F&B Leadership Award; Financial Leader of Region Award; and Customer Excellence award.
 
His appointment as general manager of JW Marriott Hotel Seoul marks Rosenberger’s first ever position in Korea.
