Boy band Tomorrow X Together and Billboard-topping American rapper iann dior’s collaborative song “Valley of Lies” shot to No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs chart in multiple countries.

Over the weekend, BigHit Music announced that the song, which dropped on Friday, had already reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in 15 countries including Argentina, Poland and the Philippines, just one day after the song’s release.

According to BigHit Music, iann dior first suggested the collaboration with Tomorrow X Together, as he had been paying close attention to the boy band’s music.

The song has an upbeat melody that juxtaposes with the melancholic lyrics. The label said Yeonjun, the band's oldest member, participated in writing the rap in the song.

Tomorrow X Together debuted in 2019 with the EP “The Dream Chapter: Star” and lead track “Crown.” It is best known for songs “Blue Hour” (2020), “Can’t You See Me?” (2020) and “Good Boy Gone Bad” (2022). It consists of five members: Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai.

The boy band released an EP “Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” in May and are on its first world tour “Act: Love Sick,” which kicked off in Seoul on July 2. The tour is now being held in the United States. The band is scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza 2022 on July 30, which will mark Tomorrow X Together’s first music festival debut in the U.S.
