Neowiz's Lies of P surpasses 1 million copies sold

Neowiz’s PC and console role-playing game (RPG) Lies of P surpassed sales of 1 million units globally within a month of its release, the game publisher said on Tuesday.

The figure derives from sales through Steam, PlayStation 4,5, and Xbox Series X and S, including digital and console packages.

The title has an 89 percent positive review score on Steam.

The company said more than 90 percent of sales come from Japan, North America and Europe.

Lies of P is a PC and console role-playing game (RPG) based on the story of “Pinocchio.”

Set in the late 19th century, Lies of P is a “soulslike” game, a subgenre of dark fantasy games that are usually very difficult to conquer.

“The Lies of P project was a challenging endeavor for Neowiz and Round8 Studio, and we take great pride in what we achieved with this title,” said Kim Seung-chul, co-CEO of Neowiz, in a statement.

Lies of P is currently nominated in the Best Visual Design category at the prestigious Golden Joystick Awards. The winners will be announced on Nov. 10.
