The Boyz concluded its world tour with three encore concerts at the KSPO Dome in southern Seoul on Sunday, greeting fans in Korea ahead of its upcoming EP.

The band of eleven — Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Juhaknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric — kicked off “The Boyz World Tour : The B-Zone in Seoul Encore” with the first of its three encore runs on Friday. The original tour started in December 2021 in Seoul and saw the boy band fly overseas to perform in Los Angeles, Chicago, Newark, Atlanta, London, Rotterdam, Paris, Berlin, Jakarta and Bangkok.

Prior to the final run on Sunday, the boy band held a press conference to share how they feel to be back.

“It means a lot to us, as well as to our fans, that all three of the encore concerts sold out,” said Juyeon. “We’re so grateful to them, and it was a team effort. Meeting a lot of international fans during our world tour, we were able to grow through so many experiences. I hope this will give us momentum to keep growing.”

“We were so moved and proud to see fans around the world sing along in Korean,” said New. “We may speak many different languages, but we all came together at the concerts with the love for our music. That’s not an experience everyone gets to have. I thought, ‘This is why singers do world tours.’”

The members said that after touring 11 cities and feeling themselves grow as artists, they hope the experience will help their activities for the band's upcoming EP.

“I definitely feel like I now know how to fill up a huge stage,” said Sunwoo. “They might be trivial details, but for aspects like dance movements and facial expressions, we have to go at least 1.5 times harder than we do on television music shows. That way, it fully translates to the audience at the concert hall. Our gestures and facial expressions will be much more noticeable during our upcoming activities.”

Members added that they each made the most of their time abroad.

Juyeon said he made sure he tried each country’s unique foods, while Younghoon observed how the audience in each country cheered differently during the band’s concerts.

As a finishing touch to the world tour, The Boyz prepared a special setlist for the encore concerts, including the band’s greatest hits “Boy” (2017), “Reveal” (2020), “The Stealer” (2020) and “Thrill Ride” (2021).

“As you know, you lose weight whenever you attend our concert,” Sangyeon laughed. “The fans all jump with us for three whole hours and make the show together. It’s a great way to lose weight.”

The special setlist also included a surprise. “Timeless,” a new track on the band's upcoming seventh EP “Be Aware” set to drop on Aug. 16, was performed by the members for the first time during the encore concerts.

“Timeless” is a fan song dedicated to The Boyz’ fandom, dubbed The B, “with the members’ hearts written into it,” according to Q.

“I love the teamwork among not just the members, but also between us and The B,” said Juhaknyeon. “We hope to see The B next time at an even bigger venue, like Gocheok Sky Dome. I’m confident that we can sell out Gocheok as well. Let’s go!”

The Boyz debuted in 2017 and rose to fame after winning Mnet's music competition show "Road to Kingdom" (2020), which saw K-pop boy bands compete against each other.

The boy band's next EP “Be Aware” with lead track “Whisper” is scheduled for release on Aug. 16.
