A fine art storage facility will be located at the Incheon International Airport by 2026, according to the airport Tuesday.
The Incheon International Airport Corporation on Tuesday signed a business agreement with Arshexa Corporation for the development and operation of art storage at the airport.
Other international airports, including Singapore’s Changi International Airport and Switzerland’s Geneva International Airport, are already operating such facilities.
The construction is budgeted at approximately 400 billion won ($297 million) and is planned to be operated from 2026. The facility is expected to be around 43,000 square meters (462,850 square feet) with a total of five floors on the west side of the airport.
