Im Chang-jung's new girl group mimiirose to debut next month

Veteran singer-songwriter and actor Im Chang-jung's new girl group mimiirose is set to debut next month.

The girl group released the track list of its debut EP "Awesome" on Tuesday, which listed the lead track "Rose" and three more songs: "Lululu," "Kill Me More" and "Rose (Inst.)."

The lead track "Rose" is comprised of Eastern sounds mixed with pop. The song is about the fear and anticipation that a person feels when they enter new environments.

mimiirose will debut on Sept. 16. Its members are In Hyo-ri, Yoon Ji-a, Choi Yun-ju, Kim Ye-won, Kim Yeon-jae. Yoon was a former contestant on K-pop girl group survival show "Girls Planet 999" (2021). Im is the chief producer of mimirose.

Im debuted as an actor in 1990 and as a singer in 1995. Some of his hit works include songs "Soju Hanjan" (2003) "A Guy Like Me" (2013) and "The Love I Committed" (2016), and films "Miracle on 1st Street" (2003) and "Traffickers" (2012).
