Webtoonist Kian84 to join new MBC travel reality show

Webtoonist and TV personality Kian84 will join a new travel reality show helmed by the producer behind the ongoing MBC reality show "I Live Alone," according to a statement by the broadcaster on Tuesday.

"Producer Kim Ji-woo is currently creating a new reality show titled 'Happened To Be Born, So Let's Travel Around The World' [translated] with Kian84," said MBC in the statement. "It will take a form that veers from current travel shows in Korea."

In the same statement, Kim said that he decided to cast Kian84 because he was inspired by the webtoonist after working with him for nearly five years on "I Live Alone."

"I saw how he took on new challenges on both television and in his art and have gotten to know Kian84 very well," said Kim.

Kian84 has been a regular member of the reality show's panel since 2017.

"Happened To Be Born, So Let's Travel Around The World" is set to premiere sometime this year.

Kian84 is best known as the author of webtoon "Fashion King" (2011-13) and as a cast member on "I Live Alone."
