Singer Yong Jun-hyung, who had been taking a break from the entertainment industry since 2019, announced through his label Black Made on Tuesday that he’s ready to make a comeback.
Black Made released a concept photograph of Yong’s upcoming EP titled “Loner” on its social media channels. In the photograph, Yong is dressed in a bright red leather jacket and matching pants.
After releasing the EP on Oct. 30, Yong will hold solo concerts titled “Loner's Room” on Nov. 4 and 5 in eastern Seoul’s Yes24 Live Hall.
Yong was embroiled in controversy after it was revealed that he was one of the celebrities in the same KakaoTalk chatroom with singer Jung Joon-young and ex-Big Bang member Seungri, who were in the center of the Burning Sun scandal.
In March 2019, Yong announced that he decided to leave the boy band Highlight after admitting to accusations that he had watched illicit videos taken by Jung.
Jung had filmed videos of himself having sex with women without their consent and shared them in chatrooms. Yong admitted to watching the videos and sharing inappropriate conversations regarding their content. After quitting the boy band, Yong enlisted to serve his mandatory military service in April 2019.
Yong debuted in 2009 as part of the six-member group Beast under Cube Entertainment. The group changed its name to Highlight after signing with label Around US Entertainment in 2017.
