Actor Lee Young-ae to return to the small screen next year

Actor Lee Young-ae will return to the small screen next year through a new drama titled “Maestra” (translated).
 
Lee will star as the lead in “Maestra,” an adaptation of the French television series “Philharmonia,” according to entertainment industry sources on Monday. Lee’s role will be a female conductor who has to face mysterious accidents surrounding her orchestra.  
 
“Maestra” will begin filming early next year. It is being produced by RaemongRaein, the production company behind dramas such as “Reborn Rich,” starring Song Joong-ki and currently airing on JTBC, and the hit queer romance series “Semantic Error” (2022).
 
Lee is a 51-year-old veteran actor who debuted through a chocolate advertisement in 1990. She kicked off her acting career through KBS drama series "How's Your Husband?" in 1993. Some of her prominent works include movies "Last Present" (2001), "Lady Vengeance" (2009) and "Bring Me Home" (2018), and dramas "Dae Jang Geum" (2003) and "Saimdang, Memoir of Colors" (2016).
