A video from the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) promoting Daejeon featuring BTS’s Suga and Jimin surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.
 
According to the Daejeon Tourism Organization Thursday, the promotional video “Feel the Rhythm of Korea with BTS – Daejeon Rock N Roll” accumulated more than 100 million views since its release on Oct. 20.
 
The video is part of the KTO’s four-episode series titled “Feel the Rhythm of Korea,” in which Suga and Jimin introduce four regions of Korea — Busan, Daejeon, Pohang and Jeju Island. The duo introduces the regions’ tourist spots with classic folk and K-pop songs playing in the background.
 
The soundtrack for the Daejeon video is “An Encounter by Chance” (1982) by Song Gol-mae and highlights the city views, Daejeon Convention Center, Hanbit Tower, as well as local spots such as the Indong traditional market, Taepyeong Underpass and a famous noodle soup restaurant.
 
The behind-the-scenes video of the episode, which was released on Nov. 23, has surpassed 6.37 million views.
 
The Daejeon Tourism Organization is actively promoting the city by collaborating with YouTubers.
 
A video featuring famous mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang, which introduces local food and night views of the city, surpassed 5 million views a month after its release, while a video promoting Daejeon created by travel YouTube channel “YoiKi, which is run by a couple in their 20s, has surpassed 730,000 views.
