Announcement: Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, a luxury destination at the heart of Yeouido, western Seoul, is set to launch sales of a new diffuser, following the release of the hotel’s highly successful room spray in September this year.

Growing sales of hotel room spray amid the rising popularity of at-home breaks and interior design prompted the release of a new large-size 200-milliliter diffuser. The diffuser features Fairmont Ambassador Seoul’s signature Tuscan Orange scent. The unique fragrance is created from a base of clove, nutmeg and musk, overlaid with geranium for effective stress relief and fresh notes of flowers, orange and apple.

The price of the diffuser is 70,000 won ($54), including tax, and if one purchases the 55,000-won room spray and diffuser together, the set can be purchased for 110,000 won, including tax. Purchases can be made at the hotel front desk, Gold Lounge and Fairmont Fit.

Riva, who started his career as a chef in 1990, is a veteran with more than 30 years of experience in a number of luxury hotels and restaurants in East and West countries, including his hometown of Italy, the United States, Japan, China, Thailand and Indonesia.

While working mainly in the kitchen for more than a decade, he realized the importance of management and obtained formal certification in various fields of F&B Management with e-Cornell University.

He first met the Four Seasons in 2016 as the Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. As the Executive Chef, he successfully led the hotel's restaurants and bars during the difficult times of Covid-19. He was appointed as the Director of Food and Beverage in 2021 in recognition of his understanding, insight, and leadership. At Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, he will also oversee every food and beverage aspect including all restaurants, events, weddings and room amenities.

He is currently preparing procedures and educational programs while memorizing the faces of more than 300 employees in the food and beverage division and meeting them in person. “To achieve greatness, you need a solid base,” said Riva. “I will use all my experience and ability to make sure that all employees work at the highest level in their respective positions, including cooking, service and management. I believe this will lead to the amazing service of Four Seasons that is delivered to guests."
