Yang Hyun-suk, former CEO of YG Entertainment, has been cleared of charges that he threatened an informant to cover up a drug investigation by a singer under his agency.

The Seoul Central District Court acquitted Yang, who was accused of threatening retaliation against an informant.

“There is insufficient evidence to judge that the accused threatened an informant by inflicting specific and direct harm,” said the court Thursday.
