Hit KBS drama 'Dream High' to be adapted into musical

Hit KBS drama “Dream High” (2011) will be turned into a musical and be staged in May at the Kwanglim Arts Center in southern Seoul, according to Artone Company, the producer of the musical on Thursday. The exact date has not yet been revealed. 
 
“Dream High” was a hit drama series which reached a viewership rating of 17.2 percent, according to Nielsen Rating Korea. The drama was a major project by singer and producer Park Jin-young, the founder of JYP Entertainment and actor-businessman Bae Yong-joon. 
 
The series starred actors Kim Soo-hyun, Suzy from girl group Miss A, Ok Taec-yeon from boy band 2PM and Singer IU. 
 
The musical will continue the story from the drama, focusing on the stories after the protagonists' graduation from high school.  
 
The castings for the upcoming musical have not been announced.
