Music festivals are returning following the easing of Covid restrictions.

The Seoul Jazz Music Festival, Lovesome Festival and EDM festival Don’t Let Daddy Know Korea have all released plans for their music festivals to take place during the first half of this year.

The 15th Seoul Jazz Music Festival, planned for May 26, 27 and 28 in Olympic Park in Songpa District, southern Seoul, will be filled with artists from both in and outside of Korea, including Brazilian musician Sérgio Mendes, singer-songwriter Mika, Damien Rice and Gregory Porter, and Korean artists including Taeyang, Crush and Epik High.

The 2023 Lovesome Festival is a unique music festival based on a book and held in association with YES24, the online ticketing site and an online bookstore.

This year, the festival chose the bestselling novel “Uncomfortable Convenience Store” by Kim Ho-yeon, released in 2021. While the participating artists and further information on how the festival will incorporate the bestselling novel were not announced, the agency said the festival in previous years held outdoor libraries where visitors could read books and roads were decorated with book-inspired quotes.

Its lineup of artists will be announced next week. It will be held at Seoul Olympic Stadium in Songpa District on April 22 and 23.

World-renowned electronic dance music (EDM) festival Don’t Let Daddy Know Korea, or DLDK Korea, will take place on April 29 and 30, at Seoul Land in Gwachon, Gyeonggi, for the first time in Korea since it began in the Netherlands in 2011.

Belgian DJ and producer duo Dimitry Vegas & Like Mike have been announced as the first headliner act of the DLDK Korea festival, with more artists planned to be announced later.
