Korean research institute joins IDB’s skills coalition

Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) has joined the International American Development Bank’s 21st Century Skills Coalition in contributing to the innovation of Latin American and the Caribbean vocational training.  
 
According to KRIVET on Tuesday, the Korean agency will be providing its expertise in technical and vocational education and training, which it hopes to contribute in creating jobs and economic growth in the region.  
 
The Korean job training research institute said it plans to exchange information on career and education polices and programs that countries in Latin America and the Caribbean could adopt.  
 
Especially KRIVET will provide career guidance and know-how of Korea’s leading Meister high-school programs, which have resulted in many of its graduates getting employed while their employers satisfied on the graduates’ skills and competence.  
 
The 21st Century Skills Coalition, is a partnership led by IDB whose goal is to provide education and training polices for 26 member countries.
