NCSoft signed a global publishing deal with Amazon Games for Throne and Liberty, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying games (MMORPG).

Amazon Games will publish Throne and Liberty, known as TL, in North America, South America, Europe and Japan. NCSoft will directly publish it in Asia, including in Korea and Taiwan.

“Amazon Games is a partner that we can trust who has the capabilities to localize, operate and promote games overseas,” said NCSoft’s Principal Development Management Officer (PDMO) Choi Moon-young. “With Amazon Games, we hope to showcase next-generation flagship title to the global users.”

“NCSoft has created some of the most popular and longest-running online games in the world, so it’s no surprise that TL is among today’s most anticipated MMOs,” said Christoph Hartmann, vice president of Amazon Games. “Publishing games that live and grow over time remains a critical piece of our strategy, and delivering games of the highest quality from the world’s most talented developers is one of the cornerstones of our business.”

Throne and Liberty is the first game from NCSoft since Blade & Soul in 2012 to be created from an entirely new storyline.

The game will be multi-platform, available on both PC and consoles, in an aim to appeal to a wider range of users. Versions for Windows, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox and Stream have been prepared for release.

The game will be simultaneously released around the globe. The specific release date has not been disclosed yet, but the game publisher said it will be sometime in the first half.
