Minnie of girl group (G)I-DLE and British singer Anne-Marie are set to release a collaboration track titled "Expectations" on March 9, Warner Music Korea announced Thursday.
First revealed on each artist’s official social media pages on Wednesday, the announcement post included the album cover for the track with a cat in the center.
“It shows the lovely mood of Minnie and Anne-Marie['s collaboration],” read the Thursday press release from Warner Music Korea.
"A variety of promotional content is planned for the release," the announcement added.
Anne-Marie is best known for her 2018 single "2002," which became a hit in Korea as well. The single landed No. 1 on MelOn and Gaon's 2019 yearly chart in Korea, the first time a non-Korean track achieved this result. In 2021, the single again stayed on the MelOn weekly chart for 144 consecutive weeks, making it the top non-Korean track on the chart and fourth overall at the time of the record.
Minnie, from Thailand, debuted as the main vocalist of (G)I-DLE in 2018. She has released multiple original soundtracks on her own, including "Getaway" (2020) for cable channel MBN's "My Dangerous Wife," "We Already Fell in Love" (2020) for KBS2 drama "DoDoSolSolLaLaSol" (2020) and "Saying Hello" (2022) for the tvN drama "Link." She also released "Empire" in collaboration with Australian YouTuber Wengie in 2019.
