Kwon Jin Kyu documentary planned to tell of sculptor's life and art
A documentary movie will be made to reflect on the life and art of late sculptor Kwon Jin Kyu (1922-1973), film production company MyungFilms said Wednesday.
MyungFilms signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday with the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) and the Kwon Jin Kyu Commemoration Foundation for the documentary.
MyungFilms and the foundation will take the helm of the production, while SeMA will cooperate in providing resources and allowing filming inside the museum.
Kwon, renowned for his busts with well-defined facial features, is considered one of three masters of Korean modern art, along with Park Soo-keun and Lee Jung-seop.
