Sehun of boy band EXO is starring in the new Tving original drama series, “All That We Loved.”

“I fell in love with my character who is almost a perfect person,” Sehun said during an online press conference for the series on Wednesday. “My character, Go Yoo, is someone who is playful and full of energy, like a 18-year-old should be, but he is also a good fighter when the situation calls upon him, and he is an all-around do-gooder.”

“All That We Loved” depicts the story of two high school students who become similar to each other after a kidney transplant. Sehun plays Go Yoo, who donates his kidney to Joon-hee, his best friend. Yoo and Joon-hee both fall for a transfer student, So-yeon, at the same time, and find themselves competing with each other.

Sehun, who debuted as the youngest member of the boy band EXO in 2012 and has since been active in the entertainment industry, said that it was “refreshing” to work with people younger than him on the set of “All That We Loved.”

“I felt pressured to lead the atmosphere on set in the beginning, but I quickly adjusted,” Sehun said during the online press conference. “I felt like I was back in high school when I was filming in the school uniform.”

The main producer of “All That We Loved” said that the difference between “All That We Loved” and most other high-teen dramas is that the new Tving series deals with not just the younger characters but also older characters, including the parents and grandparents of the protagonists.

“Existing high-teen films and dramas are mostly for young audiences, but ‘All That We Loved’ will target viewers from all generations,” said Kim Jin-seong, the main producer.

“All That We Loved” will begin streaming on Tving on Friday.
