NewJeans' Danielle to drop Korean cover of 'Little Mermaid' soundtrack

Danielle of girl group NewJeans is dropping a Korean cover of “Part of Your World,” a song from the original soundtrack for the film “The Little Mermaid,” on Wednesday.

“Part of Your World” is the theme song for Ariel, the Little Mermaid herself.
Danielle will also be voice acting for Ariel in the Korean version of the upcoming Disney film.

The teaser for the cover’s music video was released on Friday and has since hit over 2 million views, landing at No. 1 on the most trending YouTube videos in Korea.

Halle Bailey, the actor behind Ariel, sang the original English version of the song for the live action remake.

The music video and the cover will be released on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Disney’s live-action musical film “The Little Mermaid” will be released on May 24. Based on the feature-length animated film of the same name released by the Walt Disney Company in 1989, the film will follow Ariel, a mermaid living in the sea, who falls in love with a human, Prince Eric.
