Producer Ahn Sung-il of The Givers, a management firm at the center of girl group Fifty Fifty's legal disputes, admitted to lying about where he went to college.

"I checked that information about my education and work experience has been listed wrong," Ahn said in a statement Tuesday. "I apologize for causing confusion. They will be corrected."

Ahn's profile on Korean search engines listed his alma mater as Chung-Ang University. However, Korean media reported Monday that his name was not found on the list of the university's graduates.

The Givers is a content management company that manages intellectual property, produces albums and manages artists. The company was an external vendor contracted by Attrakt to produce works and manage the group. The two parties have been in a legal battle, with Attrakt accusing The Givers of sabotaging and trying to poach the four Fifty Fifty members.

Some reports also alleged that Ahn falsified or exaggerated his past work experience at a music investing company and management agency. Said work experience and Ahn's alma mater have been deleted from his profile as of Tuesday morning.
