Two people die from a building collapse in Anseong

Two Vietnamese workers died after they were buried when a floor in a newly constructed nine-story building collapsed.
The incident occurred at a building located in Oksan-dong in Anseong, Gyeonggi.
According to fire authorities, an emergency call was placed around noon Wednesday, reporting three people were trapped in the collapsed building. A total of 81 first responders were dispatched to the scene following the report.
The two Vietnamese in their 20s and 30s were buried between the eighth and top floors.
The yougner man was found around 12:25 p.m. while the older worker was found at 1 p.m.
Four others sustained injuries of which three were Chinese nationals.
The two men were rushed to the hospital but did not survive.
The construction of the building began in February and is set to be completed in May 2024.
