JW Marriott Hotel Seoul

From Sept. 1 to Nov. 15: Cafe One, the casual Italian dining destination at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, welcomes autumn with a new seasonal menu, available from Sept. 1. Inspired by Cafe One’s philosophy of using the finest produce and minimal seasoning to bring out the full flavor of each natural ingredient, the promotion features diverse mushroom flavors in a series of nourishing dishes for when the temperature drops.

The All About Mushrooms promotion introduces three new limited-edition items — fungi salad, mushroom pocket pizza, and mushroom black ink panini — embracing the diverse flavors and nutritional benefits of mushrooms, autumn’s classic, filling-yet-healthy delicacies.

The fungi salad is crafted from six sautéed mushroom varieties — shiitake, king trumpet, button, white beech, and morel — with tangy lemon and basil dressing, leafy greens, and deep-fried prosciutto, for a blend of fresh and crunchy textures. The aromatic salad makes an ideal pairing with mushroom pocket pizza, the second item on the promotional menu. The small, deep-fried calzone-style pizza is filled with shiitake, beech, and three other varieties of mushroom, complemented by cheese, bacon and tomato sauce to bring out the full depth of every natural flavor. The final promotional dish is mushroom black ink panini, crafted from ciabatta, made with squid ink rich in chitosan and filled with grilled steak, shiitake mushrooms, king trumpet mushrooms and vegetables. The panini is served with a choice of mixed garden salad or potato fries. The three limited-edition dishes are available from Sept. 1 to Nov. 15; the mushrooms used may differ according to availability and freshness.

Cafe One also presents tangzhong bread, the latest addition to its range of signature breads. Made with black rice flour for a uniquely sticky texture, tangzhong bread is proofed twice and left to rise for 12 hours, creating an irresistibly moist center. Unlike other breads, it uses tangzhong, a form of primary dough cooked in hot water and then left to rise for half a day at low temperature before being used to make the secondary dough, resulting in a healthy and tasty bread. Ideally paired with butter and jam, tangzhong bread is available to purchase from Cafe One, with stocks limited.

Guests can discover the “Land of Smiles” in the heart of Korea’s dynamic capital city as Four Seasons Hotel Seoul welcomes three distinguished Thai chefs and an accomplished mixologist from Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River.

From Sept. 8 to 17, an immersive Thai experience at the hotel’s lively international buffet restaurant, The Market Kitchen, includes staff in Chut Thai or national Thai costume, and an eclectic playlist of both traditional and modern Thai music. Against this backdrop, guests can explore an iconic menu capturing the essence of Thailand, from the fresh and zesty som tam (green papaya salad) crafted before their eyes at the restaurant’s live station to tod mun goong (a deep-fried shrimp delicacy) and tangy tom yum goong (spicy and sour soup). A national favorite dessert, mango sticky rice, brings the menu to a sweet conclusion.

A thoughtful beverage selection elevates the dining experience. Comforting creamy Thai milk tea perfectly complements spicy dishes, while the refreshing crispness of Thai beer cleanses the palate. The exotic mango-chili punch is a fruity fusion of rum, mango, lemongrass and coconut water with prik glua (Thai salty and spicy seasoning) adding a spicy kick. Elegantly complimenting the culinary artistry on display, entertainment comes in the form of a captivating Thai dance performance that showcases traditional and contemporary art forms on weekday dinners and weekends.

From Sept. 8 to 11, the mastery of BKK Social Club — with the legendary allure of Buenos Aires and the energy of today’s Bangkok-inspired bar at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, rated No. 3 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars — unfolds in the intimate surroundings of glamorous speakeasy Charles H. in the lower lobby of Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. Channeling the fragrant flavors of Thailand, cocktail aficionados can enjoy three standout signature creations from BKK Social Club. The long, tall watermelon Americano is a nutty and sweet blend of watermelon juice, Campari and soda water, with an intriguing hint of dried fish. The bee’s knees offers an authentic Thai twist, blending Thai-style rice wine, zesty lime and aromatic lychee honey. Meanwhile, Thai market fizz captures the bustling spirit of a Thai market with a mix of robust rum from the Nong Khai region, fragrant fruit tea, sweet pandan syrup and refreshing coconut water.

With this collaboration, Four Seasons Hotel Seoul invites guests to take a culinary and cultural journey, celebrating the deep-rooted relationship between two unique and dazzling destinations.
