Kim Jee-woon's 'Cobweb' pre-sells to 187 countries

Upcoming film “Cobweb” starring veteran actor Song Kang-ho has been pre-sold to 187 countries, distributor Barunson E&A announced Tuesday.

“Cobweb,” directed by Kim Jee-woon, is a black comedy film about a director struggling to make the finishing touches on his next film.

“Cobweb” also features Lim Soo-jung, Oh Jung-se, Jeon Yeo-been and Krystal Jung.

Countries to which “Cobweb” was pre-sold include the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, France, Germany and Australia.

Overseas distributors who purchased the rights to “Cobweb” include American distributor Samuel Goldwyn Films.

“Cobweb” opens in Korea on Sept. 27.
