BoyNextDoor will release a song for the Naver webtoon "Garbage Time" on Tuesday, titled Fade Away," the boy band's agency KOZ Entertainment said.

The band debuted last May with the EP "WHO!" and dropped its second EP "Why.." last September. The latest album entered the Billboard 200 and claimed top spot on Japan's Oricon daily album chart. The album's lead track, "What a Mess," has also scored high on iTunes Song Charts worldwide.

"Garbage Time," posted every Sunday on Naver Webtoon, chronicles the journey of a new basketball team coach at Jisang High School, considered the weakest team in the nation, leading the team to the national competition.

Webtoon "Garbage Time," based on the true story of the Busan Jungang High School basketball team, made it to the quarterfinals of Naver's open webtoon contest in 2017 and was awarded the "Today's Webtoon" award by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2023.

The title "Garbage Time" refers to the period toward the end of timed sports games when the coaches switch experienced players with reserve players as the outcome has been effectively decided.
