"Persona: Sulli," a Netflix documentary about the late K-pop singer Sulli, has landed in the top five on Netflix in Korea.
 
"Persona: Sulli" is a 129-minute-long documentary film directed by Hwang Soo-ah, Kim Ji-hye and Jung Yoon-suk, centering on late Sulli's early life and entertainment career.
 
The film is divided into two parts: a short film titled "4: Clean Island," 29 minutes long, and a 100-minute documentary, "Dear Jinri," which has clips from Sulli's last interview before her death.
 
The film has been met with positive reviews from fans and general viewers since its release on Monday, mostly mourning the late singer's struggles during her life as a K-pop artist.
 
After its premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in October, the documentary has been receiving praise from international media, including UPI and AFP.
 
The late K-pop star and actor Sulli, whose real name was Choi Jin-ri, debuted as a child actor in 2005 and started her music career in 2009 as a member of girl group f(x) under SM Entertainment. She continued her acting career after leaving the group in 2015. She died by suicide at the age of 25 on Oct. 14, 2019.
