Justice delayed is justice denied
In the first trial on Wednesday on the controversial case in which the Blue House under President Moon Jae-in methodically intervened in the 2018 Busan mayoral election to help Moon’s friend Song Cheol-ho get elected, the judge sentenced both Song and Rep. Hwang Un-ha, head of the Ulsan police at the time, to three years in jail — 46 months after their indictments. In the meantime, Song served as Ulsan mayor, and Hwang is still serving as a lawmaker.
