Singer Kim Jae-joong will release a full-length album, hold an exhibition and throw another fan-concert, he said during a livestream celebrating his anniversary of 20 years in K-pop on Tuesday.
"I can't believe that it's been 20 years that we've been together,” Kim said to his fans during the “Jaejoong’s 2024 Prequel" live event broadcasted on his YouTube channel and streaming platform hellolive.
“Plans for next year have already been made,” he added, saying that he is planning to "drop a full-length album celebrating his 20th debut anniversary."
“I’m also preparing collaborations with other artists, including artists from overseas,” he said.
Another day will be added to his concerts scheduled for January, Kim announced during the live. The concerts, collectively titled “I’m Twenty,” were previously scheduled to be held on Jan. 20 and 21, but another concert was added on Jan. 19.
An exhibition will be held next year to capture the memories of the past 20 years of his career, he said.
The singer said he is also preparing to launch a special event for his fans, which involves a train trip.
“I was planning to launch the event in December,” he said, adding that it was delayed due to some difficulties. “Please wait a little bit more.”
“I wonder what the next 20 years will look like,” he said.
Kim debuted in 2003 as a member of boy band TVXQ. After he left the group along with members Kim Jun-su and Park Yoo-chun, the three formed the boy band JYJ. As a solo artist, Kim is known for his hit songs like "Mine" (2013) and "Just Another Girl" (2013). He established his own agency, iNKODE, in May this year.
