Doosan’s booth at CES 2024 was taken up with the debut of the AI-powered autonomous, electric articulating tractor AT450X, as it successfully demonstrated maneuvering its way in a narrow and steep vineyard without human assistance.

AT450X was codeveloped by Doosan’s construction equipment subsidiary Doosan Bobcat and U.S. agriculture technology startup Agtonomy.

Doosan Bobcat also showcased the S7X all-electric skid loader, which won the CES 2024 Innovation Award, and the LogX2 unmanned concept loader.

Under the theme “Our Planet, Our Future,” Doosan Group presented its booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center for CES 2024, with a unanimous focus on sustainability among its subsidiaries.

Doosan Enerbility unveiled plans for carbon-free energy solutions with its hydrogen turbines, small modular reactors (SMRs) and wind power.

The company said its vision to develop the world’s first 400-megawatt fully hydrogen-fueled gas turbine by 2027 is in the works, alongside strengthening its position in the global SMR market and large-scale nuclear power plant projects.

With its new hydrogen gas turbine, the company aims to reduce carbon emissions significantly by converting 23 percent of the power produced by gas-fired power plants into hydrogen. According to data from Japan’s Yano Research Institute, the hydrogen gas turbine market is projected to grow to 40 trillion won ($30.3 billion) by 2030.

Doosan’s U.S. subsidiary HyAxiom showcased the Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Electrolyzer, which can generate high-purity hydrogen through an electrolysis process where clean electricity splits water into hydrogen and oxygen.

Doosan Robotics introduced its AI-powered recycling bot dubbed “Oscar the Sorter” which can classify and pick up objects such as paper cups, plastic containers and cans. The company said that its robots have progressed to articulately copy human movements and developed to learn, predict and make judgments autonomously. Moreover, any user would be able to easily utilize its robots through proprietary software platform, Dart Suite.
