Girl group ITZY celebrated its fifth year with a special music video lookback and handwritten messages to fans.

Each member uploaded a video titled “ITZY 5th Anniversary MIDZY” to her personal Instagram account at midnight on Sunday, exactly five years after the group’s debut on Feb. 12, 2019. Midzy is the name of the group’s fan club.

The video is a compilation of photos and clips of the members and their fans over the past five years, with “MIDZY,” a song dedicated to ITZY fans, as its background music.

At 2:12 p.m. on Monday, a poster with the members’ handwritten messages was uploaded onto the group’s social media pages.

“It was five years full of good memories thanks to having spent them with Midzy and the members,” one of the messages read. “I’ll try my best again this year to make our Midzy happy,” another read.

The group held an online streaming session at 9 p.m.

ITZY debuted in 2019 under JYP Entertainment with the digital EP “IT’z Different” and lead track “Dalla Dalla.” The group consists of five members: Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna.

The group starts its second world tour “Born to Be” with concerts in Seoul on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25. It will perform in 27 cities worldwide and end in Hong Kong in August, according to the group’s agency. Lia, who is on hiatus due to health issues, will not participate in the tour.
