JYP Entertainment's Chinese band Boy Story has been touring around mainland China after releasing its third EP "Ji" earlier this month, its agency said Tuesday.
The band began its tour in Shanghai on Feb. 3 and will next stop by Guangzhou, then continue to Wuhan, Changsha, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing and Tianjin to showcase the EP, according to JYP Entertainment on Tuesday.
The seven-track EP “Ji” with title song “Alpha” dropped on Feb. 3. All six members of the band participated in composing and writing lyrics for the music on the EP, according to their agency.
Boy Story debuted in 2017 with the single "How Old R U." It was launched in collaboration with JYP Entertainment and Chinese agency Tencent Music Entertainment. The band has six members: Hanyu, Zihao, Xinlong, Zeyu, Ming Rui and Shuyang.
The band joined other musicians in singing “Lasting Legacy” (2023), the official anthem for COP28, the UN Climate Change Conference held in Dubai in December last year, at the event. It will perform at the "Saranghaeyo Indonesia 2024" concert held at the Beach City International Stadium in Jakarta in May.
