Korea's Ko Jin-young and Lee Mi-hyang finished in the top 10 at the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore on Sunday.
Lee carded a nine-under-par, 279, to finish tied for third along with Japan’s Yuna Nishimura and Nasa Hataoka and Brooke Henderson of Canada after the fourth round brought plenty of movement on the leaderboard.
Australia’s Hannah Green claimed her first title of the season and fifth career win with a 13-under-par, 275, while France’s Celine Boutier took second, one stroke behind.
Japan’s Ayaka Furue had started the final round in the top spot but fell to eighth place on Sunday, carding a three-over-par, 75, after a tough ending, including a double bogey on the 18th hole.
Lee entered the final round at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore at No. 12 on the 62-player table but quickly moved up the ranks, carding a five-under-par, 67, for her best day of the tournament that included an eagle on the Par 5 16th hole.
Korea’s Ko Jin-young finished tied for eighth alongside Japan’s Furue, carding a seven-under-par, 281. Ko fell short of her previous stops at the HSBC Championship, failing to defend her title after winning back-to-back in 2022 and 2023.
A total of 12 Korean golfers competed at the tournament in Singapore with a total purse of $1.8 million. Besides Lee and Ko, no other Korean golfer managed to finish in the top 10.
The Sentosa course saw more rain on Sunday after a warm and windy weekend with light showers.
The LPGA Tour next heads to Hainan, China for the Blue Bay LPGA, with a total $2.2 million purse.
