Samsung's robotic butler Ballie set to sync with Galaxy wearables

Samsung Electronics' robotic butler Ballie, showcased at CES 2024, will likely be controllable through Galaxy wearables such as the watch and perhaps the ring.  
 
Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong watched a demonstration of Ballie on Thursday at its Suwon headquarters and requested the robot to be connected to Galaxy wearables.

Lee instructed the staff to "think of ways to connected [Ballie] with Galaxy wearables," according to the company.  
 
"It would be appreciated if [Ballie] has functions for the elderly living alone," he said.  
 
Ballie, an R2D2-vibe ball-shaped robot, is Samsung's idea of a future robotic companion. The robot, using its dual-lens technology, was able to project videos on the walls, helping out the owner with home training, cooking and so on, based on its demonstration at CES 2024.  
 
The launch date of Ballie is not yet known.  
 
Lee paid a visit to Suwon's Samsung Digital City to be briefed on the company's global TV business, according to the company. He also took a look at the Neo QLED 8K TV topped with its AI 8K processor slated for March 15 release as well as the transparent micro-LED display.  
 
It is reported that Lee asked questions about how its TV lineup differentiates from its rivals and about the design of the remote control.
