President Yoon, MLB stars lead Yongsan youth baseball event

President Yoon Suk Yeol gave a batting demonstration during a youth event at the children's baseball field of the Yongsan Children's Garden in central Seoul on Saturday.

Kim Ha-seong, an MLB Gold Glove winner and shortstop for the San Diego Padres, and Park Chan-ho, a former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and the first Korean to play in the MLB, attended the event, to which young baseball players were invited.

The 2024 MLB season begins in Seoul next week. The Los Angeles Dodgers will take on the San Diego Padres in the first regular season games ever to be held in Korea.
