K-Royal Culture Festival's unlimited entry pass to Korean palaces, dubbed "gung (palace) pass," is now available through April 26 on online travel platforms, the Cultural Heritage Administration's Royal Palaces and Tombs Center announced Monday.

Priced at 10,000 won ($8), the passes offer access to five representative palaces — Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, Changgyeonggung and Gyeonghuigung — throughout the K-Royal Culture Festival's period, which runs from April 27 to May 5 this year.

K-Royal Culture Festival is a biannual event held every spring and fall celebrating the history of Korean royal palaces.

The passes can also be used as metro cards and work even after the festival period.

Gung pass users are privy to various discounts around Seoul as well: a 10 percent discount on certain products and drinks at the five palaces and the Incheon International Airport, a 10 percent discount at the restaurant Korea House in Jung District, central Seoul and a 30 percent discount on musical "The Tribe". The musical will be staged at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Jongno District, central Seoul, from April 19 to May 5.

Visitors can purchase the palace passes through foreign online travel platforms including Klook, Tippose, KKday, JollyBuy, Imoto's Wi-Fi and Hanyouwang. They must then pick up physical copies of the tickets at the Incheon International Airport or a palace's information booth.

They will also be available on Korea's Ticket Link from April 5. The first 200 people to purchase the passes on the platform will receive a pass to the opening ceremony of the K-Royal Culture Festival on April 26 in addition to the palace pass.

The festival said that it has some 10,000 passes available this year. It plans to open on-site purchases if they do not sell out online.
