Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Hwang Hee-chan found the back of the net for the first time in fourth months on Wednesday, but VAR disallowed the goal on a foul by his own teammate as Wolves fell 1-0 to Bournemouth, extending their win drought.

Hwang played the full 90 minutes in the Premier League clash at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton, England.
 
It was his first time playing an entire match since he recorded an assist in a 3-0 win over Everton in December last year. He clocked less than an hour in each of his past two league fixtures after returning from an injury that kept him sidelined for over a month.  
 
Wolves failed to open the scoring despite the attack led by Hwang, who displayed pace and created a few chances in the first half.
 
Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo scored in the 37th minute, which would later turn out be the sole goal of the match.  
 
Hwang's goal, a header, was disallowed after a VAR review that showed his teammate Matheus Cunha hitting Bournemouth's Justin Kluivert in the face with his arm before the goal.  
 
The 1-0 loss pushed Wolves down from 11th to 12th on the 20-team table with 43 points. The club has been winless since a 2-1 victory over Fulham on March 9.  
 
Hwang, who once sat in seventh place on the league's top scorer table during the 2023-24 campaign, is now at joint No. 16 with 10 goals in 25 fixtures.  
 
Wolves will be back in action against Luton Town at home on Saturday.
