Seventeen’s compilation album '17 is Right Here' tops Oricon’s daily rankings

Seventeen’s best-hits album, “17 is Right Here,” has topped Japanese music industry tracker Oricon’s daily album rankings, announced the band’s agency Pledis Entertainment on Thursday.

A total of 255,797 copies of the album were sold on April 30, according to Oricon’s daily album rankings for the day, published on Wednesday.

“17 is Right Here,” released on Monday, is the band’s first compilation album and contains songs from its nine-year discography. It includes four new tracks, 20 Korean lead tracks, eight Korean versions of the Japanese lead tracks and the instrumental version of “Adore U.”

The album has also been charting on Line Music’s list of top 100 albums and Apple Music’s Top Albums chart in Japan, according to Pledis Entertainment.

The album's lead track, “Maestro,” topped Japan’s K-pop Singles chart on iTunes, and its music video sat at No. 1 on the country’s trending YouTube videos.

Seventeen will start its promotional activities for the album on broadcast television with a performance on Mnet’s music show “M Countdown” on Thursday.

The band is scheduled to hold four concerts in Japan for its “Follow Again” tour. The members will perform at the Osaka Yanmar Stadium Nagai on May 18 and 19 and at Kanagawa’s Nissan Stadium on May 25 and 26. The latter is Japan’s largest performance venue, seating around 70,000.
