Huons Meditech unveils lithotriptor at U.S. urology conference

Huons Meditech unveiled its electromagnetic shock wave lithotriptor at the American Urological Association 2024 Conference in Texas as the first Korean company to participate in the event.

The ASADAL-M1 demonstrates a high efficacy rate in safely breaking urinary stones with patented extracorporeal shock wave technology. It gained approval from both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Medical Device Regulation.

Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is a noninvasive procedure that differs from traditional surgical methods by offering shorter procedure times and the possibility of same-day treatment and discharge, Huons said.

The American Urological Association holds one of the most prestigious urological conferences in the world, attracting renowned urologists from across the globe. The conference is known for fostering innovation and collaboration in the field of urology.
