Enhypen to host 'The City' festival in Indonesia on Aug. 9

Enhypen will be the third boy band to host HYBE's citywide festival “The City” on Aug. 9 in the city of Jakarta, Indonesia, according to its agency HYBE. 
 
“Enhypen World Tour ‘Fate Plus’ The City Jakarta” will be held for a month in Jakarta starting Aug. 9, HYBE said Friday in a press release. The festival is held in tandem with the boy band’s concert in Indonesia on Aug. 17 and 18.

“The City” is a festival project that hosts various events to provide local fans immersive entertainment during a HYBE band's world tour. The first “The City” was held in Las Vegas by BTS in April 2022, followed by another one in Busan in October the same year. 
 
Boy band Seventeen also hosted the festival in November 2022 in Japan in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. Seventeen hosted the festival in 2023 as well, in Bangkok, Thailand and Seoul and Incheon. 
 
This year’s “The City” will be a first for both Enhypen and Jakarta. The festival will feature entertainment, shopping, lodging, food and beverages themed after Enhypen.
 
A “random play dance” will be held at Gate 6 of Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Aug. 11 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., where fans will be invited to dance along to songs by Enhypen and other HYBE artists.

A singalong event will be held in the Neo Soho Mall shopping center on Aug. 9. Enhypen’s music will be played in the middle of the square on the third floor. The lyrics to the songs will be displayed on large digital screens for everyone to see. There will also be a quiz show themed around Enhypen.

 
The third floor of Neo Soho Mall will also host an Enhypen pop-up store from Aug. 9 to 25.  Approximately 60 kinds of merchandise will be available, including items exclusive to the store, according to HYBE.  
 
Hotel Mulia Senayan will collaborate with HYBE for lodging package deals which will include Enhypen-themed welcome kits and concert tickets. The hotel will also provide rooms themed around the boy band.  
 
Indonesian cafe franchise Kopi Soe will roll out a two special beverages and five special menu items as part of the festival. People who purchase any of the menu items will be given cup sleeves decorated with the members’ portraits and the logo of “The City.”

"For Enhypen's fandom, which is gradually expanding its global impact by hosting tours in cities around the world, we have implemented ‘The City’ project so that fans can enjoy a wider variety of Enhypen-related events in the cities where concerts are held," HYBE said. 
 
"Especially due to the high popularity of Enhypen in the global market, including Indonesia, we were able to collaborate with companies and brands in the region to form various programs."

 
Enhypen dropped its second full-length album “Romance: Untold” on Friday. The album has 10 tracks, including lead track “XO (Only If You Say Yes).”

 
The album sold over 1.88 million copies the day of its release, according to the boy band’s agency Belift Lab. The band sold 2.3 million copies of “Romance: Untold" in the first week of its release, making it the first Enhypen album to break the 2-million-mark record in a week.
