Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, appointed Jake Lee as its new general manager, the hotel announced Monday.  
 
Lee has some 30 years of experience as a hotelier, including his previous post as the general manager of the temporarily-closed InterContinental Seoul Coex. It plans to reopen in 2025 under a new name, Westin Seoul Parnas.

Lee has also headed Parnas Hotel’s new ventures such as the openings of department store Parnas Mall and the 183-meter (600 feet) skyscraper Parnas Tower in 2016 and key renovations at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas.  
 
“It is an honor to serve as a general manager at a hotel [group] that I have worked at for 30 years, and I will do my best to set a new standard of luxury that exceeds customers’ expectations,” Lee said through the hotel’s press release. “Please look forward to what is to come at Parnas Hotel and InterContinental Parnas as we are opening this new age of growth.”

Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas is a five-star hotel owned and operated by local hospitality group Parnas Hotel. Parnas Hotel also operates Parnas Hotel Jeju and five Nine Tree business hotels in the greater Seoul area.
