Min Hee-jin said she hopes she can still deliver on her seven-year plan for NewJeans, which she "is confident will always awe everyone," in an interview with Japanese TV channel Wowwow.

Min held an interview with Japan's leading satellite channel Wowwow, during which she expressed her aspiration to execute her plans for NewJeans despite the ongoing conflict with HYBE.

“I envisioned a big picture for seven years, and I felt like I was accomplishing this until next year’s plan,” said Min.

While the exact timing of when the interview was taken is unclear, it is believed to have been filmed after NewJeans’ meet and greet, “Bunnies Camp,” at Japan's Tokyo Dome in June. NewJeans held an interview with the channel.

Wowwow held exclusive broadcasts featuring the group since their meet and greet at Tokyo Dome, and it will release special programs, including interviews with the members and a compilation of the group's music videos, until November.

“I hope the circumstances will allow me to achieve these plans successfully,” Min said. “If everything goes according to plan, I’m confident we can surprise people with an album every year. Those expectations used to be taken for granted, but now I want them to become a reality, and I hope we can reach that goal safely.”

Min also discussed sharing these plans with the group members.

“People live on hope. I’ve talked to NewJeans members about our plans. My personal hope is that I don’t lead them on. I want these plans to come to life. I don’t want to disappoint them.”

Min referred to the members and staff as "family.”

“We are like a family. We choose our staff carefully, especially when selecting those who are close to us — people who understand and agree with my vision and who also want to reach their full potential.”

Min filed for an injunction with the Seoul Central District Court on Sept. 13, requesting ADOR to convene a shareholder meeting to vote for her to continue sitting on the board after her three-year term ends on Nov. 2.

NewJeans members held a livestream on Sept. 11 demanding that HYBE reinstate Min as the CEO by Wednesday.
