Netflix’s “The Glory” actor Park Zi-a died at the age of 52 on Monday after suffering from a stroke, her agency Billions Entertainment announced the same day.

Park is well-known for her role in Netflix series "The Glory," playing the mother of actor Song Hye-gyo’s character Moon Dong-eun.

“We are deeply saddened to share some devastating and tragic news,” her agency said in press release. “Park died at 2:50 a.m. this morning at the age of 52 after suffering from a cerebral infarction.”

"We will forever remember Park and her passion, for she loved acting until the very end."

Park started her acting career as a stage actor and started appearing on screen with minor roles in 1997.

She took her first significant role in director Kim Ki-duk’s (1960-2020) film “The Coast Guard” in 2002. Park later appeared in several of Kim’s other films, including “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring” (2003), “3-Iron” (2004), “Breath” (2007) and “Dream” (2008).

Even as she participated in films and TV series, she continued her career on stage. Most recently, she was in a local production of the Samuel Adamson play "Wife," which finished in February at the LG Arts Center Seoul in Gangseo District, western Seoul.

The actor’s mourning altar is at the Asan Medical Center in Songpa District, southern Seoul, and her funeral procession will be held on Wednesday.
