Virtual singer naevis [SEOUL DESIGN FOUNDATION]
Virtual idol naevis has been appointed as the ambassador for Seoul Design 2024, the Seoul Design Foundation said Friday.
The AI-generated singer naevis is the first virtual artist launched by SM Entertainment. It made its debut last month and is set to perform at the opening ceremony of Seoul Design 2024.
The singer will also be featured in promotional posters and social media content.
Seoul Design is an annual event held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in central Seoul, filled with design fairs, exhibitions, conferences and other public-friendly programs.
This year’s edition will be held from Oct. 17 to 27.
naevis has been highly associated with girl group aespa's music in the past, sharing the group's fictional Kwangya sci-fi storyline. The virtual singer was featured in aespa's song "Welcome to MY World" (2023) and performed at aespa's June concert during the "SYNK: Parallel Line" tour.
