DGB Financial Group signs MOU with Vietnamese students' association on fraud prevention

DGB Financial Group will work with the Vietnamese Students' Association in Korea (VSAK) to offer programs aimed at protecting Vietnamese students from financial fraud.
Under a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed on Wednesday, the financial group will develop and offer various financial initiatives to ensure the financial security of Vietnamese students in Korea. VSAK will assist with any administrative needs for these initiatives
This collaboration comes as financial fraud, such as phishing scams, targeting international students in Korea has become a growing issue.
Since July, the financial group has been working with VSAK to train four Vietnamese students to lead their financial programs, which launched in August.
The programs are delievered in Vietnamese by trained instructors and cover topics such as phishing prevention, bank transactions and foreign exchange.
"We will actively provide various financial programs to ensure that Vietnamese students in Korea, who are eager to learn, have precious memories in Korea and can enhance their financial knowledge,” said Hwang Byung-woo, CEO of DGB Financial Group.
Vietnamese ambassador to Korea Vu Ho also attended the signing ceremony held at the Embassy of Vietnam in Korea, located in Jongno District, central Seoul, to celebrate the partnership.
