Lead roles cast in ‘Face Reader’ sequel
Singer-actor Lee Seung-gi and actress Shim Eun-kyung have been confirmed to star in a new movie titled “Match Made in Heaven” (working title).
“Lee and Shim will work together on the silver screen, which is the follow-up to ‘The Face Reader’ (2013), the series that has been planned to have three parts,” according to a source related to the movie on Monday.
The historical romance flick revolves around a princess, Shim, who is forced to marry a man with good marital compatibility with her.
In the story, compatibility is judged by a genius matchmaker, Lee, who compares the fortunes of four candidates to see how well each man matches with the princess. The four men are competing against each other to become a son-in-law of the king. The charismatic Lee uses his fortune-telling skills to find the best match.
The story, however, further develops when the princess escapes from the palace in order to find the man she truly loves, instead of accepting her forced fate.
The film is scheduled to premiere in the latter part of this year. Further details on who else will star in the movie have not yet been determined, as the auditions for supporting roles are still being carried out.
