The Yakult Swallows of the Nippon Professional Baseball league is set to offer its Korean closer Lim Chang-yong a lucrative offer. The 34-year-old is set to become a free agent at the end of the current season and has been garnering a lot of interest from NPB and MLB clubs.

According to Sports Nippon, a Japanese sports daily, Yakult is set to offer Lim a three-year deal worth 900 million yen ($11 million). Lim made $130,524 this season. The new contract would make Lim the highest paid player among Yakult pitchers.
