Brown Eyed Soul overtakes IU, claiming No. 1 spot on music chart

The band Brown Eyed Soul released its new album “Soul Fever” at midnight on Dec. 15. The majority of the songs on the band’s second live album have already topped various music charts featured online. In particular, the title track “Gone” reached first place on the real-time singles chart, replacing IU’s “You and I,” which has maintained the top spot since being released on Nov. 29.

In 2007, the band released another live album, which was a hit. According to local media, the reason for bringing forth a second live album was due to fans’ demands.

“Soul Fever” features solo performances by individual band members as well as songs performed by all members. The quartet made its debut in 2003 with the album “Soul Free” and is well known for R&B ballads. To date, the band has put out 13 albums, both singles and full-length albums.

The band will also make an appearance on Mnet’s music show “Must,” hosted by singer Yoon Do-hyun, on Dec. 20. Then Dec. 24-25, the group will perform in Ilsan, Gyeonggi, before having a show in Seoul Jan. 28-29.
