Rookies get shot with SM

SM Entertainment, one of Korea’s major entertainment agencies, is set to launch a program named “SM Rookies.”

The program will show trainees at the agency before they make an actual debut so that fans can get to know them better from the beginning of their careers.

The agency has put three trainees in its program and will have them interact with the public. Seulgi, who is 19; Jeno, who is 13; and Taeyong, who is 18, are known to be part of the program.

Kyuhyun of the popular boy group Super Junior said on the MBC talk show “Radio Star” that he has been eyeing Seulgi as he thinks she has potential. Members of f(x), who were on the program as guests at the time, also said that Seulgi looks cute and has a cute voice.

The agency said these trainees will be an active part of the entertainment industry by releasing songs or participating in variety shows before their official debut so that fans can see how they grow during the process.
