Former national team forward Seol retires

Former national team forward Seol Ki-hyeon announced his retirement on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old, who was part of Korea’s semifinal run in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups, started his professional career with Belgium’s Royal Antwerp before moving to Anderlecht. He has been playing with Incheon United since 2012.

Seol’s agency, GSEN, said he will be interim coach for Sungkyunkwan University’s football team until acquiring a coaching license.
