The nominees for the 63rd Grammy Awards will be announced on Nov. 25, and expectations are high that boy band BTS will finally get its first recognition from America's biggest pop music awards ceremony this year.

제 63회 그래미 어워즈 후보가 11월 25일 발표될 예정 가운데, BTS가 미국의 가장 큰 대중음악 시상식에서 드디어 인정받을 수 있을지가 올해 시상식의 관건이다.

The nominees will be announced through an online streaming session that begins at 9 a.m. on Nov. 24 local time, or 1 a.m. in Korea on Nov. 25.

후보는 온라인 스트리밍 행사를 통해 미국 서부시간 기준 11월 24일 오전 9시, 한국시간으로는 25일 오전 2시에 발표될 예정이다.

Harvey Mason Jr., Chair and Interim President of the Recording Academy, will announce the nominees for all 84 categories, while he's joined by past Grammy winners, stars and nominees from around the country. The list will immediately be distributed through a press release after the live session.

하비 메이슨 주니어 레코딩 아카데미 임시 회장은 이전 그래미 수상자들, 연예인 그리고 과 함께미국 각지에서 84개 전 부문 후보를 공개한다. 전 부문 후보 명단은 행사 직후 보도자료를 통해 공개될 예정이다.

Songs released from Sept. 1 last year to Aug. 31 this year will be eligible.

이번 시상식은 지난해 9월 1일부터 올해 8월 31일까지 발표된 노래들을 대상으로 이루어진다.

BTS dropped two releases this year: the fulllength album "Map of the Soul: 7" in February and its English digital single "Dynamite" in August.

방탄소년단은 올해 2월에 발표한 정규 4집 앨범 “맵 오브 더 솔: 7”과 8월에 발표한 영어 디지털 싱글 “다이너마이트”가 해당된다.

While "Map of the Soul: 7" topped the Billboard 200 albums chart, "Dynamite" hit the first-ever No. 1 ranking on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for any Korean act in history, which also got more radio airplay than its Korean songs in the past.

“맵 오브 더 솔: 7”은 빌보드 메인 앨범 차트인 “빌보드 200” 정상을 차지한 기록이 있지만, 싱글 “다이너마이트”는 케이팝 그룹 역사상 최초로 빌보드 메인 싱글 차트인 ‘핫 100’ 1위를 차지하는 기염을 토했고, 이들 노래 중 가장 많이 라디오 송출이 되었다.

While the Grammy Awards is recognized as the biggest and most prestigious awards in pop music, it has also been notorious for keeping a strict and conservative attitude toward foreign acts and their music.

그래미 어워즈는 가장 권위있는 대중음악 시상식으로 알려져 있는 한편 외국 아티스트와 그들의 음악에 대해 보수적인 태도를 엄격히 유지한다는 비판을 받기도 한다.

BTS had been invited to perform at the 62nd ceremony held earlier this year, but only as a part of a joint performance held with Lil Nas for his song "Old Town Road."

The band publicly stated its wishes to be granted the chance to hold a solo performance at the awards.
